Day 15 - In His Word - MOVE

Today is Day 15 of the "write31days" challenge; and I am linking up with Kate Motaung and the Five Minute Friday group for this year's "free writes".

Check out all of my posts in the "In His Word" 31 Days series here.

The word for today is Move ...

"...For truly I tell you, if you have faith the size of a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, 'Move from here to there,' and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you."  (Matthew 17:20-21)

A mustard seed?  Do you know how TINY a mustard seed is?  Just look at this one in a little container used for a necklace, shared by etsy.com...

God tells us that is all the faith we need to have and "nothing will be impossible for you."

Really?  That is all it takes!!  Faith the size of a mustard seed!

That doesn't sound very hard, does it?

But, really?!  I would be able to tell a mountain to move?

ME?

The thing is, God is with us!  HE is with us!!  It is God Himself that moves the mountain...

Or the hardship or the situation or whatever it is that is preventing us from moving on down the path He has laid for us.

We put our trust in God; we have faith that He will move that obstacle out of our way...

And, that is how it works!

Whatever is going on in our lives - now or in the past, or even in our future - we know that God is with us always...

We can move on, knowing that "He's got this"...

All we have to do is trust Him; have faith as small as that mustard seed and trust Him to help us move forward in our lives.

It really IS that easy...but, why is it so hard?

For inspiration, check out this beautiful song of trust sung by Lauren Daigle:

Hold onto that trust in God...

Hold onto that Faith the size of a mustard seed...

And keep moving...

  1. "It really IS that easy...but, why is it so hard?" So much Paul-like-truth in a nutshell, question. Love this. "(Holding) onto that Faith the size of a mustard seed" for the Lord's help in these things, today, too. ~ Hope you have a nice Sunday with custom-blessings. ~ <3

  2. Thank you for reading and commenting...it has been a great family-type of Sunday this afternoon, after attending church - all of us go to separate churches! But, I am thankful that my "kids" take their kids to church, and have each family found what they need in the ones they have chosen...me?! I'm older and settled and love the one I attend!! But, then there are the afternoons to hang out and enjoy the weather and let the children play together!

Hope your Sunday was also blessed and fun!
