31 Words of Encouragement - Day 15 - WHEN
Today is Day 15 of the "write31days" challenge. Once again I am linking up with Kate Motaung for the FMF free writes. Be sure to check out each day's post here.
The Message version of the Bible plainly speaks in Ecclesiastes 3 of a "right time" and "another time" to do things.
"There's an opportune time to do things, a right time for everything on the earth..." (The Message).
There is a right time for everything ; the "seasons" that we all go through on our life's journey.
Verses 2 - 8 lists various seasons we may face, when the time is right.
I have listed a few of these seasons, as listed in this passage, below:
"A right time to cry and another to laugh,
A right time to lament and another to cheer,
A right time to embrace and another to part,
A right time to search and another to count your losses,
A right time to hold on and another to let go,
A right time to rip out and another to mend,
A right time to shut up and another to speak out,
A right time to love and another to hate,
A right time to wage war and another to make peace."
Another of my favorite verses is Jeremiah 29:11. The English Standard Version reads like this:
"For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare (peace) and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope."
The Lord knows our future; and the seasons we each will go through. That is the when of our future!
That is our Hope!

Love this translation - "A right time." So often, timing gets in the way of our hope.
ReplyDeleteIt certainly does get in the way. But there IS always hope!! Thanks for reading and commenting...appreciative all of your encouragement!
DeleteThe emphasis on looking to the Lord to bring about our future is such a needed message.
ReplyDeleteIt is good for us to discern what "right time" we are in.
The graphic says it all, "When the time is right, I, the Lord will make it happen." I am sending that verse to some folks today. I know they will be encouraged.
Absolutely! I pray/hope these words can bring encouragement to those that need it! Thank you for reading and commenting, and for sharing!
